HYGIENISTS
Jody – Hygienist RDH
Jody Attended Georgian College here in Orillia after high school, where she completed the Dental Assisting program. Immediately after, she entered the Dental Hygiene program and, in 2009, obtained her diploma.
Jody was born and raised in the Alliston area, but a combination of her husband and the opportunity for great professional growth brought her here to the Orillia Smile Centre team in 2013. She truly enjoys hygiene and prides herself in being gentle, yet thorough with her clients.
When she is not detoxifying sulci (a fancy term for showing oral bacteria who is boss). She is spending time with her family and friends or running around town training for her next big race.
Brittney – Hygienist RDH
Brittney has been a dental hygienist since 2013. She’s new to the office and can’t wait to get to know each client and focus on providing the best individual hygiene care!
When she’s not working working she enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids. During the summer they enjoy camping, biking, hiking, and kayaking together.
Ling Yao- Hygienist
Having lived in Barrie with her family for the past 11 years, Ling loves being part of this community. Outside of work, she enjoys yoga, skiing, and hiking, and loves any chance to spend time outdoors with family and friends.
She brings a warm, positive presence to the team and truly enjoys connecting with the people she meets each day.
Cherie Bissonette- Hygienist
A dedicated dental hygienist since graduating in 2010, Cherie is passionate about helping clients achieve and maintain healthy smiles in a comfortable, supportive environment. After taking time away from her career to focus on raising her daughters, she returned to the profession with renewed energy and appreciation for client care.
She was excited to join the team at Orillia Smile Centre in 2025, where she loves the welcoming atmosphere and strong sense of community. For Cherie, client comfort is everything—she believes a positive dental experience starts with feeling at ease, and she takes pride in building genuine connections with the people she meets.
Cherie moved to Oro-Medonte with her family in 2019 and enjoys spending her free time with her two daughters, husband, and friends. Whether it’s catching live music, trying out local spots, or spending time outdoors, she loves making the most of where she lives.
Courtney Stout- Hygienist RDH
Courtney has been a Registered Dental Hygienist since 2013. She is very passionate about oral health and from a small child, grew up saying that she wanted to make people smile. She created Shine Studio with the intention of it being a safe and comfortable wellness environment. With a focus on client-centered care and a collaborative approach to overall health and wellness, Shine Studio provides the perfect environment for everyone.

Courtney – CDAII / Office Manager
Born in Barrie and raised in Orillia Ontario. Courtney loves Orillia and the great sense of community that we share in Sunshine City. She enjoys helping patients and staff to make a smooth and comfortable dental experience from beginning to end, for everyone who comes into the Orillia Smile Centre. She has been with the team since 2015.
While she isn’t at work she enjoys the outdoors, going snowboarding in the winter, and playing baseball in the summer. She also likes to ride her motorcycle when the weather is nice, and just relax with friends and family in her spare time.
Erika – CDAII / Treatment Coordinator
Born and raised in the Ottawa Valley, Erika moved to the Simcoe County area in 2015 and joined the Orillia Smile Centre team in 2016 where she continues to add to her 10 years of dental experience.
Erika and her partner Shane have a son who they welcomed in March 2020 and are the light of their life! They love making family memories, always including their sweet pup Sierra in all the fun.
Erika adds a fun & bright presence to the office and is always ready to help patients with anything they may need.
Layla – CDAII
Layla graduated with honors from the Durham College Dental assisting program in the summer of 2022. She had a warm welcome from her Smile Centre family and has grown to love being part of the dental world. Although she is new, her bubbly personality and kindness are sure to make you feel at home.
Born and raised here in Orillia, when she’s not chair side, you can find Layla enjoying her days off with loved ones. She loves spending time outdoors running, rollerblading, swimming, fishing, travelling, and always trying new things. She loves seeing where her days off will take her.
Nicole Reyes- Dental Assistant
I graduated from the Dental Assisting program at Georgian College and enjoy helping patients feel comfortable and cared for during their dental visits. I love being part of a team that helps people achieve healthy, confident smiles and strives to create a positive experience for every patient. I am excited to continue growing in the dental field and plan to return to school to pursue a career in dental hygiene. Outside of work, I enjoy doing lash extensions, staying active at the gym, and traveling whenever I have the opportunity to explore new places and experiences.

Kaidance Burns- Dental Assistant
Hello! My name is Kaidance, and I am a dental assistant who is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their dental care. I enjoy building positive relationships with patients and supporting them throughout their dental visits. My goal is to provide a welcoming experience while helping deliver quality oral healthcare. I look forward to meeting everyone and helping them achieve a healthy, happy smile!
Kelsey – Front Desk Administrator
Kelsey was born and raised in Orillia. She has worked in customer service in the area for many years allowing her to form great relationships with members of our community. She sees many familiar faces coming into the Orillia Smile Centre and loves meeting new faces who she can build new connections with. She takes pride in delivering the best possible experience for every patient as soon as they walk through the door.
Kelsey lives on the lake with her husband Jamie, their two beautiful daughters – Addison and Ezrah, and their German Sheppard x American bulldog named Axel. Kelsey enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors with her family.
Sarah- Front Desk Administrator
After graduating from the Dental Assisting program at Georgian College in 2013, I began my career in dentistry and transitioned into a dental receptionist role in 2014. Over the years, I have gained extensive knowledge of dental procedures, patient care, and office administration, allowing me to better assist and support our patients throughout their dental journey.
When I’m not at the office, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my two children. Some of my favorite activities include paddle boarding, biking, and camping. I also love making memories with family and friends whenever I can.
